All away from Kingston, JAMAICA, Good Sounds assortie la playliste aux couleurs du reggae-roots. La sélection de cette semaine ne propose pas de nouveautés (Les artistes choisis sont connus et assez représentatifs du style musical).

Ainsi, j’ai choisi Caution de Bob Marley qui est un titre trop peu écouté et absent des grands Best-Of du prophète rasta, les californiens de Groundation avec l’inaltérable Praising, Morgan Heritage avec sa tonalité roots si particulière, l’allemand Patrice, les Gladiators avec ce chef d’oeuvre qui devrait être amené au panthéon des meilleurs morceaux reggae, les skatalites avec l’instrumental Rock Fort Rock, véritable hymne et souvenir ému d’un certain concert…, the Specials, autre monument de la musique reggae, Ziggy Marley (fils ainé de Bob et Rita), Toots Hibbert dans un Funky Kingston qui mérite d’être vu en live (une vraie bête ce Toots) et enfin, l’un des plus grands groupes de reggae jamaïcain, Israel Vibration avec Get up and Go.
